- A six-track EP entitled Death Grips is released, containing Full Moon.
- A single is released, entitled Live From Death Valley, containing two non-album songs.
- A mixtape by the name of Exmilitary is released, with three of the same songs as the EP.

- Death Grips signs with Epic Records.
- The Money Store is released, with No Love Deep Web being scheduled for release in 2013.
- Death Grips releases No Love Deep Web against Epic's wishes, resulting in Epic dropping them from the label.
- Death Grips makes their official Twitter account (which has since been deleted and replaced with this one), and a Soundcloud account.

- Government Plates is released.
- Zach writes and directs a feature film, with Death Grips supposedly doing the soundtrack. This film has not yet come to release.

- Zach Hill announces that they're making a new album, and that they hope to go on tour.
- Death Grips announces their disbandment, clarifying they'd finish The Powers That B.
- A Twitter account surfaces, claiming to be Death Grips and announcing that they hadn't actually broken up.
